Alumni
The former students of the University of Turku have the opportunity to join the alumni activity that is intended for all alumnis (=former students). In addition to the general alumni activity, there are field specific alumni unions, too.
Being an alumni offers the possibility to keep contact with the university after graduation. The alumni network consists of experts from all walks of life and ages. The alumnis receive information about the university’s events, educational opportunities and the current issues via email and the university’s Aurora paper.
The knowledge and expertise of the alumnis is a valuable resource in developing the university’s operations and supporting students. A great example of this is the mentoring project through which an alumni can give helpful guidance to a student as his/hers mentor. The aim of the project is to support the student’s transition into the working life.
