Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences

The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences was founded in 1920. The number of students enrolled is approximately 4200, the annual intake being approximately 500 students. The faculty comprises of a variety basic natural sciences, as well as mathematics and information technology. The strategic focus of the Faculty lies in biosciences and mathematical methods, and strong research areas are also recognized in astronomy and space research, microelectronics, bioinformatics, environmental research and urban studies.

The Faculty consists of seven departments and offers a wide diversity of Bachelor of Science, Master of Science as well as Doctor of Philosophy degree programmes.
