CALL FOR VIDEOS Titanik Gallery announces call for videos filmed in urban space.
BREATHING CITY
Titanik Gallery is looking for video works and other recordings, which make comments about the rights to the public space or which present unauthorized and spontaneous ways to use urban space. Videos can be shot by professional artists or amateurs, it is the content that matters. Central criteria for the videos are either their artistic expression and/or contents. Videos can be new or old ones.
Deadline for the videos is 15th of April 2011.
A group of artists selects 10 videos, which will be used in a DVD compilation, and shown in the Titanik gallery in May 16th–22nd as part of an international Eurocultured Street Festival. Chosen videos will also be published in the gallery website www.titanik.fi in 1st of May 2011. Instructions:
1. Send the video to Titanik Gallery before 15th of April by mail (address below) as a DVD, or send a link to a downloadable video file by e-mail to info[a]titanik.fi. (Note: don’t attach the video file in the e-mail.) 2. Write a short description about the contents of the video and the person(s) who have made it. 3. If you wish that the DVD will be sent back to you, enclose a return envelope and enough stamps.
