4th ESA - European Symposium on Aerobiology, Turku, Finland, 12-16 August 2008
The 4th European Symposium on Aerobiology is organized by the Aerobiology Unit of the University of Turku in Turku, Finland.
The symposium invites all European aerobiologists, allergologists, meteorologists, researchers and students to participate in
cutting edge scientific performances and lively discussions. The topics of the symposium include pollen and spores in general,
forensic aerobiology, meteorology and climate change, phenological networks and indoor air aerobiology.
Turku is a town of 170 000 inhabitants, situated on the south coast of Finland,
160 km west from the capital Helsinki. There are good traffic connections to/from Helsinki international airport and
direct car/passenger ferry links to Stockholm, Sweden. An overnight passenger ferry cruise from Stockholm is the recommended access route to Turku for all those interested
in seeing the beautiful archipelago (operators: Silja Line and Viking Line). Turku also has an international airport
with direct flights from Copenhagen and Stockholm operated by SAS/Blue1.
