Amazon Research Team (UTU-ART) Multiscientific research group that has activities in tropical America, especially Western Amazonia.

Coastal Geography Group (UTU-CGG) Geographical research on natural processes, human activity and information management in coastal areas.  
Development research Group
Development research on regional processes among the societies in developing coutries, specially in Africa, Asia and Latin Americas.
Fluvial Research Group
Research Group studies riverine systems and  processes acting within the catchment and in the actual river channels.
 
Human Geography Research Group (HuGe) Research Group includes researchers, teachers and  geographers interested in  fields of human geography. Knowledge Creation Processes
Research Group
(KREPRO)
Studies how knowledge is created in processes through various combinations of space and time.
 

 

Landscape Geography Group
Research on dynamic landscapes, their patterns, processes and development in differ ent parts of the world.

 

 

Lake Sediment Research Group
Lake sediments are the high resolution archives of past environmental and climate change.

 

 

 

Urban Climate Research Group  
Urban climate research with dense observation network and high frequency utilising GIS methods.
