Master's thesis in Environmental Sciences
Instructions given for thesis may differ between different departments. Thesis done in the Master's Degree Programme in Environmental Sciences should follow the instructions published and discussed in the yearly Research Seminar (YMPS1039). Printable versions of the forms filled in during the thesis work are the following ones:
Evaluation of Master's Thesis (used by the examiners)
Approval of grading of the Master's Thesis
The thesis are evaluated based on criteria set by the Faculty. The seven-step grading of the master’s thesis will be considered as part of the advanced studies by changing the seven-point scale into 1-5 point scale as follows: approbatur = 1, lubenter approbatur = 1.667, non sine laude approbatur = 2.333, cum laude approbatur = 3, magna cum laude approbatur = 3.667, eximia cum laude approbatur = 4.333, and laudatur = 5.
Instructions for applying for the degree certificate and graduating are published here. The schedule of graduating during summer or Christmas time is told on the website of current issues in the faculty.
