Instructions for applying
The application period for the programme is yearly around the turn of the year and the studies start in following September. For studies starting in 2012, the application period was 1.12.2011 - 31.1.2012. There is only one intake per year and the studies can be started only in the fall. The admission requirements are confirmed yearly in October and published right after that. However, major changes take seldom place and therefore the requirements of the previous application round can be used as instructions in getting prepared.
Students graduating after the application deadline may apply, on the condition that the application includes a statement from the home institution stating the expected date of graduation. In this case, a certified copy of the original degree certificate (in the original language), and an English, Swedish of Finnish translation (or a Diploma Supplement), must arrive at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences by the middle of June (the exact date changes slightly yearly, please see Application requirements for an exact date ). Applications arriving after the deadline are not considered. Postmark dates on the applications will not be taken into account; the applications must arrive at University Admissions Finland before the above deadline.
Acceptance
All applicants who submitted their application by the deadline will be notified about the decision concerning their applications. The letters will be posted by regular mail on 16 April 2012. The names of the admitted students (concerning applicants who have given us the permission to do so) will also be published here.

Application Template The system is offline every Monday from 3 pm to 5 pm (GMT +2) for maintenance. Please note that only filling in the application template on the above mentioned website is not considered an application as the form has to printed, signed and submitted together with enclosures.
