Master's Degree Programme in Environmental Sciences
Welcome to study Environmental Sciences at the University of Turku!
The University of Turku offers a two-year Master's Degree Programme in Environmental Sciences, which started in September 2005. The programme is multidisciplinary in nature, and has strong connections to basic and applied research, environmental assessment and economic life. Tuition is free of charge and education is given in English. The programme challenges the students to broaden their perspectives in environmental issues, while offering specialisation and profound scientific knowledge in a selected subfield of environmental sciences.
The programme covers different interdisciplinary specialisation fields that are managed by the Departments of Geography and Geology and the department of Biology at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. As a cooperation of these participating units, the programme offers specialisation studies in:
- Ecotoxicology
- Quaternary Paleoecology and Environmental Change
- Spatial and Ecological Interactions
The lectures offered in the frames of the programme are also open to exchange students of the Universities in Turku. Please note, however, that the curriculum is subject to changes.
