Postgraduate (doctoral) studies
Doctoral degree in Biology can be done in the following fields of research:
- biology
- ecology
- physiology and genetics
- evolutionary biology
- cell and molecular biology
Postgraduate training is arranged via the doctoral programmes. Doctoral programmes can be local or they can form national or international networks. The right to study for a doctoral degree is applied for from the Faculty. The faculty accepts the PhD student to the Faculty’s doctoral programme and at the same time, to the University of Turku Graduate School (UTUGS). All postgraduate students in the Faculty are members of the Faculty’s doctoral program. At the same time a student can be a member of a local, national or international network program.
