Department of Biology
The Department of Biology provides BSc-, MSc- and PhD -level training in biology and environmental science. Research in the department extends from the molecular to the ecosystem level.
The Department of Biology comprises three sections: the Section of Biodiversity and Environmental Science, the Section of Ecology, and Division of Genetics and Physiology. The Department of Biology further includes the Zoological Museum, the Botanical Museum, the Botanical Garden and the Sequencing Service Unit. From the beginning of the year 2010 the Laboratory of Plant Physiology and Molecular Biology belongs to the Department of Biochemistry.
